An autopsy has been completed on a man involved in a shooting in Grande Prairie, and the Edmonton Medical Examiner’s Office determined that the death was a homicide.

The name of the man will not be released, but police can confirm that he lived in Grande Prairie.

RCMP were called to a complaint of shots fired at 9612 – 100 Avenue in Grande Prairie around 5 PM on Tuesday night.

Upon arrival, police found the man dead in a vehicle.

Police would like to hear from anyone who may have seen a silver VW Jetta on Tuesday in the Hillside neighbourhood of Grande Prairie between the hours of 4 and 7 PM.

Anyone who may have information about the VW Jetta or information pertaining to this investigation is asked to contact the Grande Prairie RCMP.
