A number of hockey development seminars will be held over the duration of the World Under-17 Hockey Challenge. Hockey Canada and BC Hockey staff will be taking part with the seminars being held both in Fort St. John and Dawson Creek.
The Canadian Way will be held on October 31. At the Encana Events Centre a presentation and comments from speakers will take place at 10 a.m., and a meet and greet will take place afterwards at 11 a.m. The same seminar will be held later in the afternoon at the North Peace Arena starting at 2 p.m. and a meet and greet at 3 p.m. Participating in the event will be Hockey Canada president and CEO Tom Renney, Hockey Canada chairman Joe Drago, Hockey Canada VP of development Paul Carson, BC Hockey president Randy Henderson, and BC Hockey board member Barry Reynard.
Hockey Canada’s Pathway to Physical Literacy and the Initiation Program is slated for November 1. The Fort St. John session will be at the North Peace Arena at 9 a.m., and the Dawson Creek session will be at 12 noon at the Encana Events Centre. Paul Carson, Randy Henderson, and Barry Reynard will be on hand.
The VIP High Performance U17 Staff and Officials session will be held November 4 with separate events being held at both the Encana Events Centre and North Peace Arena at 7 p.m. and meet and greets at 8 p.m.
Admission is free to the events.
