RCMP has issued a Canada wide arrest warrant for Jordan Joseph Wendland in relation to the fatal stabbing which occurred at The Alamo Bar in downtown Sexsmith during the early morning hours of Sunday.

Wendland, who sometimes uses the surname Cesena, is wanted by the RCMP for one count of 2nd Degree Murder and three counts of Aggravated Assault.

Wendland was last seen in the Grande Prairie area, and RCMP say it is possible that he could be traveling to BC or southern Alberta.

He is described as follows:

  • 28-year-old Caucasian man
  • 5’11” (180 cm)
  • 161 lbs. (73kg)
  • Brown hair
  • Brown eyes

Police warn the public not to approach Wendland if seen. Instead, should anyone see Wendland they should call 911 immediately.

If anyone has information pertaining to the whereabouts of Wendland, they are asked to call the Grand Prairie RCMP detachment at 780-830-5701, or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
