Tonight, an open house will be held for residents to provide their input to Western Canadian Properties Group about the developments in Garrison Landing.

The group is seeking an official community plan amendment, with their intent being to change the land use designation from Low Density Residential to Medium Density Residential.

This land use change is proposed to permit future sub-divided parcels to be zoned R2 and allow for suited single-family homes – but will not allow Duplexes.

The group previously appeared before City Council and was denied their plan due to the proposed road width being too narrow, among other concerns.

The input from this open house will be included in their upcoming application to Council.

It will be held at WCPG Presentation Centre, between 6:30 and 8:30 PM.

WCPG Presentation Centre is located at 11703 100th St., access is on the corner of 117th Ave. and 102nd St.
