Today is the last day to nominate and vote for the 13th Annual Small Business BC Awards, and Fort St. John’s own Black Ace Supply has been nominated for Best Workplace.

The Best Workplace Award recognizes the business that provides the best overall place to work, providing a supportive, happy and healthy work environment for their staff.

Manager of Black Ace Supply Lee Hartman said he feels proud of the company for the nomination, and a company they do business with nominated them for the award.

Nominations and voting opened up on October 1st.

Recipients of Small Business BC Awards will win Premier’s Prize of $1,500, plus the opportunity to learn from experts in exclusive mentorships.

The businesses with the highest number of votes in each award category will be announced as the Top 10 on December 11.

From here, these nominees will submit a detailed application that judges will use to determine the Top 5 finalists from each award category, announced on January 29, 2016.

The Top 5 finalists will then be invited to present a ‘Dragons’ Den’-style pitch to the judges, and the winners of each category will be announced at the Small Business BC Awards Ceremony on February 25, 2016 in Vancouver.
