After hours of slowed and blocked traffic just a few kilometres south of Bear Lake, Highway 97 is now open in both directions.

Reports indicated that the highway was closed for a few hours before opening up to single lane alternating traffic.

Prince George RCMP could not be reached for a comment on the details of the accident.
