The BC government has announced their contribution of $80,000 to help fund an light improvement project along Wright rd. and the Alaska Highway.

“Nighttime can create unsafe driving conditions,” Peace River North MLA Pat Pimm said. “This project will improve safety on our highway.”

The project falls under BC’s Community Safety Enhancement program; the government is investing nearly $5 million this year on more than 40 projects province-wide on projects like this one.

Projects are chosen by the ministry, in consultation with local government and law enforcement.
