According to RCMP’s Alberta Media Relations, a fatal collision that occurred 60 kilometres south of Grande Prairie on Highway 40 is under investigation and has closed it completely.

Traffic is currently not able to get through, and the highway is expected to be closed for the next several hours.

RCMP suggests drivers avoid taking that highway, and find alternate routes to get the delays.
