The woman accused of second-degree murder in the death of Kirk Morin is also facing other charges, unrelated to this case.

Cpl. Jodi Shelkie of Fort St. John RCMP confirmed that Lisa Miel is also facing charges of breaching her undertaking; the condition she breached was a no-contact order. This is related to an earlier file, and not the death of Morin.

She appeared via teleconference at the Fort St. John Provincial Courthouse on Wednesday for a hearing regarding the charge of second-degree murder.
