CHETWYND, B.C. – At 2:30 am on December 23, 2015, the Chetwynd Fire Department responded to a house fire at 4909 46 St.

The owner suffered from smoke inhalation and was transported to the Chetwynd Hospital via Ambulance. The home was totally gutted by fire and the cause of the fire is being investigated.

18 firefighters attended the scene in frigid temperatures, and thank nearby residents for delivering coffee to the firefighters. The Chetwynd Fire Department is reminding everyone to be extra cautious this Christmas.
