Just over 1,000 customers are without power in Fort St. John, Grand Haven and Clairmont.

The power went out just after 11 a.m. and B.C. Hydro early estimate suggests power could be back on by 2 p.m.

The outage covers an area from South of RD 246 , West of 84th ST, East of RD 275.  The cause of the outage is still under investigation.
