On Monday morning, a man tried to rob the Mac’s convenience store in Beaverlodge, but was sent running by the employee at the store.

At 5:30 a.m. that morning, the man, holding a knife, demanded money from the cashier. However, the employee used an unspecified cleaning tool to defend himself, and scared the suspect away from the store without any cash.

The employee wasn’t harmed in the incident, and called RCMP to report the incident.
