The Fort St. John Flyers will return to home ice on tonight as they’ll be in action twice this weekend. At 8:30 they’ll host the Spirit River Rangers and on Saturday they’ll welcome the Falher Pirates in what will be the Flyers annual teddy bear toss game.

Fans attending Saturday’s game are asked to bring a new teddy bear. When the Flyers score their opening goal of the contest fans are encouraged to throw their teddy bear wrapped in plastic or a shopping bag onto the ice. Fans are asked to have the bears in plastic or shopping bags so they are not ruined by the snow on the ice.

The bears will then be turned over to the Salvation Army where they will go to children in the community.
