It was important for the Fort St. John Huskies to enter the Christmas break feeling good about themselves and they did just that as they capped off a successful weekend yesterday. Coming off an overtime win over the Dawson Creek Junior Canucks on Friday that had the team’s coaches feeling unsatisfied, the Huskies put forward a much better effort in a 7-1 win over the Sexsmith Vipers.

The Huskies led 2-0 after the first period and established a healthy advantage in shots at 17-7. With the score at 3-0 as the third began the Huskies really put the pedal down. Sexsmith closed to within two but after that Fort St. John scored four unanswered goals to round out the scoring.

Finding the back of the net for the Huskies were Austin Braid, Adam Bowie, Jacob Lang, Brandon Howard, Lucian Serban, Lou Turnbull-Giesbrecht, and Shawn Wilson
