Beaverlodge RCMP are looking for answers after a white pick up fired shots near police as they were investigating the circumstances of a stolen vehicle in Wembley.

On Saturday afternoon, police attempted to speak with the residents of the home in front of which the stolen vehicle was parked, but did not receive any response to their efforts to make contact with them.

One of the officers was arranging to remove the stolen vehicle when he saw a white Ford pickup truck near by speed away.
