The winner of the Rotary Club’s Megalottery second Early Bird draw is Diedritch Loewen.

He wasn’t able to attend the presentation, so his daughter Edith attended to accept the $15,000 for him.

Edith describes her father as a ‘very humble,’ retired grain farmer. He had a big part in creating the senior’s complex in Prespatou, and she says her and her nine siblings got involved in charity work early on to help with the fundraising.

“All ten of us are involved in some kind of charity or community involvement, because my dad instilled that in us,” she said. “I thank him for everything he’s taught me, and my work ethic.”

The 50/50 draw, mega prize, and grand prize winners have yet to be announced.

The draws for those prizes will be at the Totem Mall, on December 27th at 3:30 PM.
