Grande Prairie RCMP is searching for their main suspect in two separate armed robberies, within 30 minutes of each other, that occurred on Tuesday night at two different Grande Prairie and Sexsmith liquor store.

Around 9:20 p.m. that evening, a male suspect entered the East Side Liquor store in Grande Prairie, pulled out a knife and demanded money.

Later, at 9:50 p.m., the suspect entered the Sexsmith Liquor Store, and did the same thing: fled the scene after threatening the cashier with a knife and taking money with him.

RCMP confirm that there were no injuries in either situation, and haven’t disclosed how much cash was taken.

The suspect is a 6 foot 4 man with a thin build. He was wearing a black ‘metal mulisha’ hoodie, navy work pants with a yellow reflective stripe, brown boots, and large aviator style sunglasses.

Members of the Grande Prairie RCMP detachment are investigating this case, and pursuing all leads.
