Fivestar Fight League will be holding their first Fort St. John card in a year come April 22nd at the Fort St. John Curling Club. Specific fights are still in the process of being sorted out but the card will be headlined by local fighter and Fivestar welterweight champion Duncan Wilson.

“We’ve got Duncan Wilson slated to be in the main event. I’m just starting the process of match making and putting the card together from there. We’re going to see a couple of pro fights and a bunch of amateur MMA, and this time I’d like to see at least three, maybe four kickboxing bouts as well,” Fivestar owner Justin Donally said.

As usual with Fivestar events local flavour will be prominent with a number of familiar faces stepping into the cage in various bouts.

“Dylan Lielke, he’s going to be in the card on some capacity. He’s getting close to making his pro debut but he’s considering maybe looking at one more kickboxing bout. On top of him we’ll have Jamie Herrington provided we can find an opponent for her. You can expect to see a lot of other locals like Travis Lussier, Matt Kertesz, Connor White, and a few others out of the gym here,” Donally said.

Ticket plans and pricing have yet to be announced, but will be going on sale in early March.
