FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. – The Fort St. John Northern Metalic Flyers were back in game action for the first time in 2016 on Sunday. They welcomed the Grande Prairie Storm and the two clubs skated to a 2-2 draw.

Fort St. John opened the scoring with 8:20 left in the first, but the Storm found the tying goal less than five minutes later.

In the middle frame Fort St. John again took the lead, but just as they did in the first Grande Prairie was quick to respond with another tying goal two and a half minutes later.

There was no scoring between the teams in the third.

Scoring for the Flyers were Connor Kindrat, and Connor Bowie.

Next for the first place Flyers is a road tilt on Saturday against the North Central Bulls.
