GRANDE PRAIRIE, A.B. —  In light of two new incidents of rural community mailbox being broken into since Christmas, Grande Prairie RCMP is warning residents to keep a close eye on their mail and community mailboxes.

This includes a warning for residents to check their mail regularly, and to be alert to what may be missing. 

Theft of Mail is a violation of the Criminal Code, in section 356, that carries a penalty of up of 10 years in prison.
