Alaska Highway open after overnight crash

FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. – The Fort St. John RCMP responded to a crash early Sunday near the Mile 54 turn off.

According to posts on social media, the crash involved two vehicles and caused the highway to be closed for six hours.  A detour was setup around the crash using frontage roads in the area near Charlie Lake.

The RCMP have not released any further details about the collision at this time.
