Fire Fighting resources now being sent to the Beatton Airport Road Fire

FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. – The Beatton Airport Road Fire continues to grow as resources are now being sent to fight the fire.

According to a spokesperson for the Provincial Wildfire Coordination Centre, resources are being sent to fight this fire, but the spokesperson couldn’t confirm if any crews had been fighting the fire since it started on Monday. 


Tuesday night the Peace River Regional District issued an evacuation alert for residents in the area of the fire.

The Wildfire Coordination Centre has also confirmed that the Beatton Airport Road will be closed for the next 72 hours because of the fire.

The fire is currently 5,500 hectares in size.
