FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. – The Pomeroy Sports Centre in Fort St. John is now the host of drop-in sessions of Canada’s national summer sport.
Marissa Jordan with the City of Fort St. John’s Parks and Recreation says that the idea for the program came when she was approached by the President of Fort St. John Minor Lacrosse about the opportunity for those finishing minor lacrosse to continue to play the sport.
The drop-in lacrosse program is being offered throughout the summer months and is open to those 18 years of age or older. Players must bring full equipment in order play, including a helmet, face cage, and mouth guard. The fee for each drop-in session is $3.00, with drop-ins happening every Tuesday and Thursday evening from 8:00 P.M. to 9:30 P.M.
