Here is a list of ways for Fort St. John residents to donate to Fort McMurray

FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. – With the Fort McMurray fire continuing to burn, local Fort St. John residents and businesses are offering support.

Here is a list as of 9 a.m. Friday with ways you can support Fort McMurray residents here in our community.


Revolution Honda – Revolution Honda is accepting donations of clothes and other items at their location in Fort St. John.  You can also donate cash to purchase water.  They have also setup a online GoFundme campaign to collect donations.

St. John Advertising & Energetic Services – St. John Advertising is collecting donations of clothes and other supplies for residents of Fort McMurray.  Energetic Services have donated the use of a truck to get the supplies to the area.  Donations are being taken until 4 p.m. Friday.

The Fort St. John Co-op – The Fort St. John Co-op is taking cash donations at their stores and will make all donations made at their locations.  All the money will be sent to the Red Cross.

Mitch Collins – Local realtor Mitch Collins is offering free housing for Fort McMurray residents displaced by the fire, and is urging property owners and landlords to do the same.  Mitch Collins with Century 21 Real Estate in Fort St. John says that he has just a few units left, and started with almost a dozen when he began offering the suites for free.  Anyone looking for a place to stay to contact him at 250 262-9338.

Microtel Hotel – Fort St. John – The Microtel Hotel in Fort St. John is offering free rooms for up to five months for residents displaced by the fire.  You can contact the hotel at (250) 794-3100

B&C Rail – They will be collecting donations at Safeway in Fort St. John Saturday May 7 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.  If any one has anything they can donate, from food, clothes, gas, money, baby items, etc.
