FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. – Women from across Northeast BC convened at the Pomeroy Hotel and Convention Centre last week to increase their leadership capacity and focus on their professional development.

The conference, which was the third annual event, gave presentations to women from all walks of live; ranging from small business owners working from home to senior management members of organizations from across the region.

Two guest speakers delivered keynote addresses at the conference: Christopher Flett, who is known as “The Shock Jock of Business Management” gave a presentation about how men interact with, and without, women in the workplace. Susannah Pierce, the Vice President and General Manager of LNG Canada gave a keynote speech encouraging women to be self-sufficient and to “listen to their gut”.
