CORRECTION: Two Fort St. John men charged in moose riding incident

Jaysun Pinkerton and Bradley Crook were both handed fines for their roles in the 'Moose Riding' incident that happened in July of 2014

FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. – The story has been corrected. The previous story stated the men were from Fort Nelson. It has been corrected that the two men are from Fort St. John.

Two Fort St. John men have been charged after video surfaced of a man jumping on a moose and briefly riding the animal as it tried to cross a lake.


Deputy Conservation Officer Chris Doyle said the two men are charged with harassing wildlife with the use of a boat, attempting to capture wildlife and hunting big game that is swimming.

The names of the accused have not been released. They are scheduled to make their first court appearance on August 8th.

The incident, which happened near Fort Nelson a Tuchodi Lake went viral after it was posted by Wolftracker TV.
