FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. – Success continues to be the theme for the Inconnu Swim Team this season, as five of their younger swimmers will be heading to their first-ever Provincial swim meet next weekend.

The swimmers will be heading to the Kamloops June Classic taking place June 24th – 26th.

Thirteen year-olds Kiara Semeniuk, Cole Crook, and Logan Schar have enjoyed a phenomenal season of swimming, which began back in September of last year. Semeniuk managed to qualify for the 100 m and 50 m backstroke, as well as the 100m and 50 m freestyle events. Schar is an effective breaststroke swimmer, and will be competing in the 200 m, 100 m, and 50 m breaststroke. Crook will be competing against the Schar in both the 200 m and 100 m breaststroke, in addition to qualifying in the 400 m and 200 m individual medleys. Though competing against each other, Crook and Schar are both friends out of the pool, and say that they help push each other to hit faster times.

Julian Kemp and Piper Finkensiep are also heading to Kamloops in the younger age group. Finkensiep is set to compete in three sprint events: the 50 m backstroke, freestyle and breaststroke.  Kemp will be swimming the 50 m freestyle, along with the 200 m, 100 m and 50 m backstroke.
