FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. – The board of directors for the Fort St. John Hospital Foundation has named a new Executive Director.

It was announced Ashley Bentley has left her position as Executive Director. Board chairman Gorden Gentles expressed his thanks for all of her hard work.

“The Board greatly appreciates the commitment and leadership of Ashley during the past eight years and, in thanking her for her service to the Hospital Foundation and our community, we wish her every success in her future endeavours”.

Her replacement will be City Councillor Gord Klaassen, Effective as of May 16th, 2016.

“We welcome Gord in his new capacity as Executive Director of the Foundation and look forward to continuing to work with him.  We share Gord’s enthusiasm for the purpose and future of the Foundation and his respect for the trust our donors have in the Hospital Foundation.”

Ashley Bentley started her new role as General Manager for HCP Canada. Bentley shared her thanks for the Hospital Foundation and all that they do.

“I am so thankful for the opportunity I’ve had being a part of the Fort St. John Hospital Foundation over the last eight years, and to serve as Executive Director for six of those years. The experience has provided me with many wonderful memories, and a sense of pride in being able to be a part of the Foundation as it grew – especially with capital campaigns such as the CT Scanner Campaign and New Hospital build. There are many exciting plans ahead for the Foundation, none of which would be possible without you – the supporters of the Foundation – I want to say Thank You for all you do!”

Gentles also announced there will be new members joining the team.

“We are also thrilled to announce the appointment of Jessica Kalman to Chief Development Officer, and to welcome Becky Pruden as the new Administrative Assistant.”
