Alexis Chin arrested after being wanted for four months

FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. – The Fort St. John RCMP say that they have arrested 33 year-old Alexis Dawn Chin after a four month search.

Cst. Nancy Saggar with the Fort St. John RCMP said that Chin was arrested on July 21st. Chin had been wanted on numerous outstanding warrants, including breach of recognizance, since March of this year.

This wasn’t the first time Chin had been wanted by police. On June 30th of last year, Chin was arrested after police received a complaint of gun shots at a rural property near Taylor. Upon obtaining a search warrant and entering the residence, police found various ammunition and an unsecured shotgun, as well as quantities of prepackaged cocaine, over 1,000 Fentanyl pills, a small amount of marijuana and over $48,000 in bundled cash. Chin attempted to flee the property but was quickly arrested and charged with a number of drug- and weapons-related charges, including Possession of Cocaine and Fentanyl for the Purpose of Trafficking.

In March of 2012, Chin was apprehended during a routine traffic stop after being wanted by police for seven months. Chin had failed to appear in court to answer to numerous charges after being arrested in September of 2011.
