NewLeaf to allow passengers to bid on unsold seats

FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. – NewLeaf will be allowing passengers to fill empty seats on flights by bidding.

NewLeaf will be partnering with Calgary-based Jump On Flyaways to collect the bids on those empty seats.

Roger Jewitt, CEO of Jump On Flyaways, says that it is possible a person could bid on the empty seat for only $1 and get the flight. However, he also noted that the company’s website says that air travel
partners will consider “reasonable” bids and can decline them.

NewLeaf does fly to many destinations, including: Abbotsford, Kamloops, Kelowna and Victoria in British Columbia.
