UPDATED: Storm causing flash flooding in Fort St. John

UPDATE – City officials as well as police are blocking off certain roads. Residents are asked to avoids areas that have high levels of water. Several roads have been flooded.  We have reports of flooding on 100th near Tru Hardware, flooding near the Wholesale Club and along the Alaska Highway and the frontage road on the South side of the Highway.

FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. – A storm Tuesday night has caused flash flooding in the Mathews Park area of Fort St. John.

The storm started just after 6:30 p.m. and has caused flooding in low lying areas like Mathews Park.

The following photos have been sent to Energeticcity.ca of the water levels.
