FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. – The Fall Fair was a great success this year according to Lorna Penner. She says even though the weather was a little sad on Sunday, they increased the numbers from last year by 271 people.
She believes if it had been sunny on Sunday more people would have come but is happy with the turnout nonetheless.
They had numerous exhibits and exhibiters. Penner says in the Junior exhibits alone there were 199 entries alone. The ages were from under 5 to 17. There were thousands of exhibits from the 199 entries and all those numbers are up.
There also were entries from a 2 month old baby as well as a 90 year old, showing that age doesn’t matter and it is truly a fun family event.
Penner says the community really seems to be embracing the Fall Fair. Something she likes to see.
In total, Penner says they had 5,586 people over the weekend show up. The camping numbers were also up as they saw 236 people camp at the fair.
She says it is a great place for families to come and spend time together, and that makes it even more special.
