FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. – City Council today recommended that Lonestar Nightlife’s request to have more room for capacity be declined.

Council says that the building underwent renovations, and has yet to have a building permit.

The RCMP and Building and Fire Departments couldn’t provide any comments on the application because of the above mentioned issue.

Another establishment had applied for later hours. Ned Nasty’s Naughty Neighbourhood Pub (DBA Cheers Pub) wanted to stay open until 2:00 am instead of 1:00 am Monday to Saturday.

Council recommended the amendment. The RCMP and Building and Fire Departments have no concerns. Council also said that it would have minimal effects to those around the establishment. Noise would not be an issue, nor would the community be directly impacted.

No comments were received by the public.
