Boil Water advisories issued for Blackfoot and Boundary Lake

DAWSON CREEK, B.C. – The Peace River Regional District and Northern Health are advising residents that use the Blackfoot and Boundary Lake water systems that they now must boil the water first before using it.

Boil water advisories have been issued for both the Blackfoot and Boundary Lake water systems as of Friday August 26, 2016.  The boil water advisory issued in July for Fey Spring (Goodlow) water system remains in place.

Northern Health says the advisories as the systems are at risk of containing pathogens.

Northern Health adds that you should boil water before using it for drinking, making ice, making infant formula, cooking, washing food or brushing teeth. Use hand sanitizer after washing hands. Water must be boiled for at least one minute.
