City approves extra funding for High On Ice festival

FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. – The City of Fort St. John has approved to add an additional $29,316 dollars to the High On Ice festival fund.

The extra costs are going towards the Event Coordinator as well as Ice Carver contracts.

Last year the festival cost the city around $128,974.00. Council has approved a budget of $132,100.00 for this coming festival, however they are adding the additional funds because of the two extra components that need to be paid for.

Myanna Consulting will now be coordinating this event through 2018. This was the 3rd year that Myanna was involved with the festival.

They also have competitors who come from the US, Russia and even Lithuania.
