FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. – Members of the Cops for Cancer’s Tour de North team will be hosting a pair of fundraisers in advance of the annual event.
This year’s Tour de North will be taking place September 16th – 22nd, and will see riders cycling over 700 kilometres from Prince George to Prince Rupert. Constables Rob Belanger and Sheldon Ewington will be the Fort St. John detachment’s two representatives in this year’s ride. So far the team has raised a total of $66,444, or 59 percent of their goal.
In order to get closer to their fundraising goal before this year’s ride in just over a month’s time, the Cops for Cancer will be hosting two fundraisers in the Fort St. John area. The first will be a Concert at Jackfish Dundee’s on Friday, August 26th that will feature two bands, as well as a silent auction. Tickets for the event are $25 each.
