Fivestar Mixed Martial Arts hosting charity boxing match this fall

FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. – Charity boxing is coming to the Energetic City this coming autumn.

In a Facebook post, Fivestar MMA and Crossfit gym owner Justin Donally announced the boxing show, which will take place at the Pomeroy Hotel & Casino on Friday, October 7th. The event will showcase boxers and kickboxers of all ages competing, including UFC athletes Sheldon Westcott and Mitch Clarke as referees for several bouts. The evening’s main event will see MMA fighters Brad Stewart and Jared McComb squaring off in a boxing match for the first time.

Donally is hosting the event to allow kids that haven’t been able, or have had to pull out of organised sports due to the recent economic downturn in the Peace Region. He says that all funds that evening will go towards helping those kids from the Fort St. John area to be able participate in some of the sports that are offered at the gym.

Anyone wishing to help out with the event can get in touch with Justin Donally at the Fivestar Gym by email at: info.fivestarmma@gmail.com.
