FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. – For those of you that gotta catch ’em all, now is your chance this weekend.

The Rotary Club of Fort St. John is hosting an event at Centenial Park this Saturday to help raise funds for the new spray park.

There will be 4 lurers out for 5 hours. Registration starts at 12:30 and at 1:00 pm, after all registration has been done, everyone will be released into Centenial Park. Everyone will have 3 hours to catch as many Pokémon as they can.

At the end of the 3 hours, everyone will come back and they will count how many everyone has.

The 12+ group grand prize is a brand new iPhone 6S 16 GB donated by Petron Cellular. The under 12 prize is a free month of Can Ryu Jui Jitsu with Raven Pruden and Engage Can Ryu Jui Jitsu.

The registration costs for anyone over 12 is $5, anyone under 12 is free.

Thomas Whitton with the Rotary Club says this is more of a “funraiser” than a fundraiser.

“I want to say it is more of a funraiser. It’s more just for the Rotary Club to let people know what we’re doing. Any money that we do make, will be going to the new spray park.”

The Rotary is also selling bricks to be put into the spray park. You can buy a brick and put your name on it and it will be installed at the spray park. It is $100 per brick.

There are also sponsor bricks that are bigger that companies can put a logo on. Those will also be installed at the park.
