RCMP recover stolen oilfield equipment in Hythe bust

HYTHE, A.B. – The Beaverlodge RCMP have recovered a large amount of oilfield related equipment after a search warrant was executed.

On Wednesday August 17, 2016, the RCMP executed a search warrant in Hythe, Alberta. A large amount of oilfield related equipment as well as copper wire and batteries were recovered in the search.

41 year-old Aaron MacDermid of Hythe, Alberta has been charged with the following:
  • Possession of Stolen Property over $5000 x 3
  • Possession of Stolen Property under $5000 x
  • Break and Enter x 1
  • Mischief x 1
  • Possess Break-in Tools x 1
  • Possess a Prohibited Weapon x 4
MacDermid will next appear in court September 19th, 2016 in Grande Prairie
