UPDATE #3 – 12:28 p.m. The Tumbler Ridge Fire Department responded to a downed power line along Highway 29.  Here is what they posted to Facebook.

Hydro now expects crews to arrive on scene of the downed power line at 2 p.m.  There is still no esitmate on when the power will be restres.

UPDATE #2 – There is now a second outage in Tumbler Ridge affecting over 900 customers.  There are now 1,600 customers without power.  There is no estimate on when power will be restored.

UPDATE #1 – The outage along Highway 29 has been restored.

TUMBLER RIDGE, B.C. – Over 700 customers are without power in Tumbler Ridge.

Saturday’s storm knocked out power in the community shortly after 11:30 a.m.  There is no estimate on when power will be restored in the area.

Over 1,800 customers are in the dark all over the B.C. Peace.  Over 300 customers are without power along Highway 29 from Charlie Lake to Bear Flats and another 480 are without power in Moberly Lake.  There are no estimates on when power will be restored in those areas.
