TAYLOR, B.C. – The Taylor Speedway fell victim to this past weekend’s wild weather. This past weekend, which was supposed to be a make-up for the racetrack’s opening weekend rain was ironically also rained out.
Speedway president Kelly Hildebrand says that the near-record heavy rainfall caused the dirt oval in Taylor to turn to mud, scrapping the races planned for Saturday evening.
Unfortunately, the track wasn’t able to sufficiently dry out before the races planned for Sunday afternoon.
Hildebrand says that the club’s executive members will be meeting this evening to discuss a date next month to hold its final weekend of racing this season.
