PRINCE GEORGE B.C. – Prince George RCMP say that there has been an accident between a small car and a tractor trailer on Highway 97 near Tallus Road.

Both the Prince George RCMP (municipal) and North District RCMP (provincial) are on scene investigating the collision.

When police did arrive around 3:20 pm, they found 5 of the passengers in the small vehicle. 2 of them were suffering from non-life threatening injuries.

The highway is currently partially blocked with single lane, alternating traffic. Police say it may be necessary to close the highway to clear the tractor and the car.
