Unemployment numbers in northeast BC see slight drop

FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. – Northeast BC has seen a slight drop in unemployment numbers for July.

We now sit at 8.8%, but that is down from the 9.2% that we were sitting at before. We still currently sit at the highest unemployment rate in BC.

The oil and gas sector has contributed to Northeast BC’s unemployment numbers.
