UPDATED: Prince George RCMP looking for man after violent attack

UPDATE: Kyle Garnot has turned himself into police.

PRINCE GEORGE, B.C. – Police are looking for help from the public in locating a man who was involved in a violent attack that ended up sending one man to hospital with stab wounds earlier this month.


On Thursday September 1st, at around 7:00 pm, Prince George RCMP found a man in distress near the corner of Victoria Street and 9th Avenue. Officers that attended believed the man had been stabbed and began first aid.

The BC Ambulance Service and Prince George Fire Rescue were called to the scene. The man was taken to hospital where he was treated for life-threatening injuries. Police say he is expected to survive.

Prince George RCMP are now looking for a suspect believed to be involved with the attack. A Criminal Code charge of aggravated assault has been approved by Provincial Crown Counsel and a warrant has been issued for 22 year old Kyle Anthony Garnot of Prince George.

GARNOT is described as:


  • First Nations male
  • 191 cm (6’3″)
  • 136 kg (300 lbs)
  • Brown eyes
  • Black hair
