RCMP investigating possible child luring in Fort St. John

FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. – The Fort St. John RCMP have confirmed a post being shared on Facebook of a possible child luring incident.

According to the RCMP, a complaint has been filed of a suspicious incident involving a female youth September 17, 2016.  The youth was walking near the intersection of 90 street and 118 A avenue when a man driving a van slowly drove past the youth and made a comment to her without stopping.

The van is described as a white older model van with a yellow ladder on the roof.  The driver is described as a caucasian male with reddish hair between the ages of 25 and 35.

Police believe the comment was not criminal in nature, however they are still investigating this incident and would like to speak with the driver of the vehicle.

If anyone has any information regarding this incident is asked to contact the RCMP at 250-787-8100 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
