The City outlined what they would do with the funds if awarded a grant.

“If awarded Imagine Grant funding, goals are to bolster winter programming such outdoor rink activities, snowshoeing, X-country skiing, nature walks, and community participation at the High On Ice winter festival. Funds will enable the City to offer low cost or free activities and encourage residents to get outside and be physically active.”

They added that Fort St. John experiences winter conditions for 6+ months a year, making the need for more physical activity accessible.
