FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. – Nominations are now open for the 14th Annual Small Business Awards.

Nominations officially opened on October 1st and the nominations are open to any new or existing business with less than 50 employees. The business can be nominated in any award category that they are eligible for.

Once a business is nominated, they have until November 30th to get as many votes as they can. The Top 10 businesses with the most votes in each category will move on to the next stage of the contest.

Once a business does finish in the top 10 of a category, they then have 1 month to give the judges of the competition a more detailed application saying why they think that they deserve the award the most. They then will be narrowed down to the top 5 finalists.

If you make it and are one of the top 5 finalists, you have to sell a panel of business experts on why your business is the best in B.C.

The celebration will be held in Vancouver at the Pan Pacific on February 23, 2017, where businesses will find out if they have won a BC business award.
