FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. – The Northeast BC Resource Municipalities Coalition will be co-hosting a luncheon with the Independent Contractors and Business Association of BC (ICBA) this Wednesday.

ICBA is the largest open shop organization in Canada. The ICBA has is also the main voice of BC’s construction industry.

The ICBA program to support responsible resources development matches the Coalition’s goals and objectives.

The Coalition and the ICBA both agree the issue they want to focus on together is gaining access to world markets for all resources.

“BC cannot maintain its quality of life and access to education and health services if it cannot gain access to world markets and anticipated growth in China, India and Africa. The Coalition sees many similarities between its work and advocacy and that of ICBA.”

The luncheon is open to the public and speakers for both the Coalition and the ICBA.

Tickets can be purchased for $25 each through Eventbrite or at the door.
