ROSE PRAIRIE, B.C. – The Rose Prairie Community Curling Rink says that it desperately needs volunteers and members to help the club going into the upcoming curling season and beyond.

In addition to overseeing the upkeep of the curling rink, the organisation is also responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of the Rose Prairie Cemetary. According to a post on Facebook, Craig Boyd, the centre’s longtime member and volunteer that has been overseeing cemetery maintenance will be stepping down in the near future.

The community centre says that it needs someone to take over Boyd’s responsibilities, preferably for a minimum of two years, and that Boyd will help with the transition. Responsibilities for the position include: arranging general yard maintenace, reporting to the Board, laying out and constructing plots. In addition to the cemetery groundkeeper position, there are a number of other positions that the rink is looking to fill.
