DAWSON CREEK, B.C. – Environment Canada has issued a snowfall warning for the B.C. South Peace.  The forecast calls for up to 15 cm of snow in the South Peace.

Winds could reach up to 30 km/h with the temperature dropping to minus 2.  In the North Peace, the forecast calls for up to 5 cm of snow.

The warning covers Dawson Creek, Chetwynd and Tumbler Ridge.

Current details:
Snowfall, with total amounts of 10 to 15 cm is expected.


A front has generated snow over BC Peace region. 6 cm snowfall has fallen over the southern Peace region today including Chetwynd. Snow will continue through tonight with additional amount of 5 to 10 cm expected.

Visibility may be suddenly reduced at times in heavy snow.
